Jahan Alamzad, Managing Principal of CA Advisors, administers this retreat event. He leads the airline practice of
the firm.
A specialist in the airline industry, Jahan has more than two decades of professional advisory experience, working
with numerous airlines worldwide. He specializes in airline strategy, strategic business modeling of
airlines, and execution of different airline business models.
Jahan’s professional concentration is in analytics. He has applied advanced analytical techniques for developing
solutions to complex business problems that have created significant value for his clients and have benefited them
tremendously.
Jahan has conducted many professional seminars and training workshops for various airlines and in different
functional areas. He has also spoken at many industry forums, and has provided expert remarks to journalists
covering airlines, including interviews for print and TV news.
Before CA Advisors, Jahan served as Director of Startegy & Analytics at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Director of Airline, Aerospace, and Operations Research Practice at Applied Decision Analysis, which
was acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Prior to his management consulting career, he worked for United Airlines and American Airlines.
Jahan holds a masters in management science and engineering from Stanford University, as well as a masters in
industrial and systems engineering from the University of Southern California. He earned bachelors degrees in civil
engineering and electrical engineering from the University of Illinois. He has served on the faculty of the
Department of Aviation at San Jose State University, lecturing in airline management, and has collaborated in
publishing a textbook entitled Airline Management. He is currently serving on the faculty of Notre Dame de Namur
University, School of Business and Management, lecturing in entrepreneurship and innovation management
